Vessel explores how a reclusive author's final book, and her subsequent disappearance,

continues to have repercussions on the residents of her local town more than 30 years on.

One of the 30 images below has been chosen as the one to be featured in those scenes.
A print reproduction will be used on set, but you can own the original piece by purchasing it below.

Production Design assistants needed

As part of a new short film project we are looking for a number of creative individuals to collaborate with during pre-production.

Jobs will include:

•  Costume design and making of costumes, plus sourcing of appropriate clothing
•  Set decoration and sourcing materials, furniture, props etc.
•  Prop making
•  Storyboard art

The short will be filmed by professional film makers on a cinema quality digital camera and will garner worldwide exposure both through film festivals and online.


To give you a better idea of the films aesthetic here are the basic elements we will need to produce:

•  A Shaman / Witch doctor style costume
•  Villager outfits, East European / Central Asian in style
•  A Mongolian Yurt (nomadic home) style interior
•  Tribal art and decoration

There is a mix of both modern day and traditional tribal elements, there is no specific time or place to the setting.

We would also like someone to work with the director to produce storyboards.


We want creative people from any field, be it fashion, fine art or film, whether you are looking to gain experience in film production, would like to add to your portfolio or cv, or just want to see your work up on the big screen.
We are based in the Northwest of England (Manchester) but are open to collaborating with people further afield if necessary.

CHAOSMOS II Contemporary Art Exhibition Programme

Chaosmos is an arts initiative that aims to research and develop the production of an array of mixed media artwork, animations, video and live art. It is curated by Chris Boyd, the Lead Artist, and platforms a collection of international and renowned art in a unique exhibition that investigates turbulent visual planes within the conceptual framework of Chaosmos (a Joycean coinage).

The exhibition attempts to map meta-physical states, track intermittent interference whilst revealing a preoccupation with the creative process, pictorial puzzles and the integration of traditional artist techniques with current post production methods.

'Outside' available to watch online

In 2008 I co-wrote a short film with Thomas Wightman and Rob Bailey which went on to receive funding from Northwest Vision and Media's Virgin Shorts 2008 competition. 'Outside' was shot over four consecutive days in locations around the North of England on a budget of £2,500. The short was directed by Wightman with production design by myself and Bailey.

'Outside' explores ideas about how advancement in technology has effected the way we communicate and how as a result it may impact our environment. It is now available to watch online:

'Outside'

In February 2009 'Outside' was shot, a short film I had co-written and worked on the production design for, and after a long period of post-production is now complete. The short will recieve it's first screening at Cannes Film Festival 2010. I will update soon about further screenings and website launch.

'Outside'
